I had a hard time naming this painting. It began as an ordinary Koi pond painting, but there have been so many of these, that I had to experiment a little. It's not that I don't love the Koi pond paintings, I do! I have two very real ponds of my own and they are points of inspiration for paintings all the time.

Thank you, Joel. When I painted this, I wanted to mess up the shapes of the fish, the turtle and water lilies, but was unsure if anyone would know what they were looking at. I'm glad it worked out for me. Your quick comment will allow me to keep this image rather than delete it.
