Description
Ghosted by Lisa Kaiser
Day Four of One Hundred Paintings: A series of fast works created to show my passion for painting.
This work in oil was created with several layers of paint using several unique gel mediums to create the look of old masterpieces in the area of Expressionism. I felt that since Valentines day is arriving and there are many souls out there who feel "Ghosted" that this work could possibly reflect that feeling. I have created some unusual shadows in this work that seem to represent the feeling.
"Ghosted" for me means two things: First the paint brush gliding over the canvas effortlessly creating my work of art due to my love of painting. And secondly the term "ghosting" means a personal relationship with someone who by suddenly and without explanation, withdrawing from all communication.
Now isn't that a mysterious thing? Like all my work, I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed painting it.
This work is a 9x12 and is in the process of drying. It could take up to three works and is 180.00.

This is absolutely gorgeous, Lisa! I especially love the testures. And it's amazing when you realize you did it so quickly. Funny, but the expression "ghosted" was running through my head last night after realizing it has happened to me...by a very finicky commission client after telling me she loved the work! Ya never know...
