Champagne For Two
Artist
Lisa Kaiser
Medium
Painting - Acrylic On Canvas
Description
My paintings tend to be subconscious expressions of what I'm going through in a moment, but don't reflect my overall perspective in life. This painting represents an emptiness, not necessarily an ugly empty, but just a finished feeling of an event or journey. It can be a feeling we all have from time to time that something we are experiencing has been completed for us thus an emotion of triumph, an ending to a perfect journey or task, or job. All things come to an end.

The Blue You I Thought, But I read your description and now the ambience had changed... I like it, esp the two glasses one more distant, one more full...
Lisa Kaiser replied:
Thank you, Brian. I try to put symbolism in every work that I do. In this case, the glass that is empty was a closing to a very amazing time in my life, while the glass that is closer represents my unknown future. Thank you for your comments, Brian.

Lisa, I enjoyed what you had to say about this. Some times for me, the anticipation of a special or one of a kind event can almost be better than AFTER the event has happened....Spock once said, " sometimes wanting is better than having" or something like that! Whatever, I'm glad you posted this. I too, hesitate to post some of my work and yet sometimes they are the ones people order a print of. FAV / LIKE
Lisa Kaiser replied:
Well, I still have the original on this one Jerry...LOL. I like it though, so I'm glad no one has bought it. Thank you for the comments!!

The soft colors are pretty and sooting; the depth you created give the mind room to breath; the light in the corner and the reflections give a sense of action; is there a smiley face on the label? This art is magic to me--I just put filters on images--this is a creation with impact worth remembering, like a fine wine.
Lisa Kaiser replied:
As I sit here looking at the original and comparing it to the photo on FAA, I can see all the sense of action even in the original. I guess I forgot to photo shop. You make me glad I didn't as well. I see things too, but then again, I paint in a subconscious state...so anything can happen.
